of the 2nd Battalion, 411th Regiment of the 2nd Brigade, 85th Division
(Training Support) at Fort McCoy participate in their daily physical
training run to build
endurance and a sense of teamwork. The soldiers made the run on Sept.
700 military retirees attended the Retiree Appreciation Day event at
Fort McCoy Sept. 6. John Radke, the chief of Army Retirement Services,
was the keynote speaker for the event. Other speakers included
Installation Commander Col. Michael R. Staszak and Ray Boland, the
Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs. An
afternoon benefits fair at the Rumpel Fitness Center had approximately
40 presenters representing various organizations that serve or provide
information and assistance to retirees. The Fort McCoy Commemorative
Area, Equipment Park and History Center also were open to
attendees to visit during the day.
