Retiree Appreciation Day

About 700 military retirees attended the Retiree Appreciation Day event at Fort McCoy Sept. 6. John Radke, the chief of Army Retirement Services, was the keynote speaker for the event. Other speakers included Installation Commander Col. Michael R. Staszak and Ray Boland, the Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs. An afternoon benefits fair at the Rumpel Fitness Center had approximately 40 presenters representing various organizations that serve or provide information and assistance to retirees. The Fort McCoy Commemorative  Area, Equipment Park and History Center also were open to attendees to visit during the day. (Photo by Donald Boyea )
