Members of C Company, 1st Battalion, 131st Infantry and
A Company, 1st Battalion, 178th Infantry board a C-141 aircraft as part of the first
deployment of Illinois Army National Guard personnel to Southwest Asia. The units trained
at Fort McCoy before deploying in two groups - June 6 and 13 - from Volk Field near Camp
