Pine View Summerfest

People participate in the 2015 Summerfest at Fort McCoy's Pine View Campground in early August. Events at the festival included carnival games, a beanbag tournament, hot-dog- and pie-eating contests, and wagon rides.

Ice-cream social

Members of the Fort McCoy community gather for an ice-cream social at the South Post Family Housing area in early August. Dozens of people attended and were able to choose from a variety of toppings for their ice-cream treats.

The event was coordinated and hosted by the Friends and Spouses of Fort McCoy organization to give youths a chance to socialize before the start of the school year.

Feds Feed Families

Staff Sgt. John Roloson with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, U.S. Army Garrison Fort McCoy collects food at the Fort McCoy Commissary Aug. 14 for the Feds Feed Families food drive. The food drive will accept donations through Aug. 31 at the commissary and other locations on post.

Industry Day

Contractors participating in the Fort McCoy Industry Day Aug. 20 hold a networking session in Dailey Hall at the Wisconsin Military Academy. The event was coordinated by the Fort McCoy Mission and Installation Contracting Command and the Directorate of Public Works.

Dozens of representatives from construction companies attended to learn more about how to become involved in federal construction projects.

Managing threats

Special Agent Edward Lawson of the Federal Bureau of Investigation holds a briefing during the Threat Management Team meeting Aug. 13 in building 905 at Fort McCoy. The Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security holds the meeting annually.

This event is critical for networking internally and externally with federal, state, and local law-enforcement agencies, emergency managers, and intelligence agencies.
