Challenge Academy Run/Walk

Participants in the Wisconsin Challenge Academy Run and Walk take off from the starting line May 21 near building 905 on Fort McCoy. The participants included Challenge Academy cadets, their Family members, and Soldiers from Fort McCoy. The Challenge Academy is a program for at-risk teens of a specific age group looking to make positive changes in life, earn a high school equivalency diploma, learn necessary job skills, and develop character. RTS-Maintenance Change of Command

Master Sgt. Chad Kleifgen takes the flag of leadership for Regional Training Site (RTS)-Maintenance from Maj. Victor O. McGee prior to passing it to Maj. Joshua S. Mau (left) June 6 during a change of command ceremony in building 905. RTS-Maintenance, a tenant unit of Fort McCoy, offers basic and advanced noncommissioned officer ordnance training, heavy-wheeled maintenance mechanic training, Standard Army Maintenance System-Enhanced computer maintenance record tracking training and vehicle recovery training.

Operation Military Kids earns award

The Wisconsin National Guard (NG) honored Operation Military Kids, an operation affiliated with Fort McCoy's Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS), with the Community Partnership Award.
