Weapons qualification

Soldiers from Headquarters and Headquarters Company, U.S. Army Garrison Fort McCoy fire M4 weapons at a Fort McCoy range as part of weapons qualification training. The firing was the culmination of advanced weapons training and helps Soldiers maintain their firing skills, which are perishable.

Couples in the Fort McCoy community participate in a swing dance session at building 905. Shawn and Jimi McConnell, who have 24 years of social ballroom dance experience, will be offering free six-week beginners courses in the Cha Cha Tuesdays at 7 p.m., Nov. 5-Dec. 17 and the Fox Trot Thursdays at 7 p.m., Nov. 7-Dec. 19. Building renovation

Employees from Nuvo Construction Company Inc., of Milwaukee remove siding on a building in the installation's 2500 block. The company has a contract to renovate 71 barracks by August 2015. The renovation project, which will be done in stages to serve troops training at Fort McCoy, includes adding or replacing steel siding, roofing, windows, flooring, lighting and exterior doors.

Fort McCoy community members attend a Financial Peace University class session at the Fort McCoy Religious Support Office Chapel Center. The 12-week course was offered due to any Armywide program extension authorization. For more information about Religious Support Office activities and events, call 608-388-3528.
