Training as you fight and taking positive actions were keys for a Silver Star recipient who was well received by a Fort McCoy audience during a Sept. 25 Year of the Noncommissioned Officer event.

Combat medic course concludes year's stay at
Fort McCoy


The 68W combat medic pre-deployment training course, which is concluding its one-year stay at Fort McCoy, is being declared a success by management and course instructors alike.

33rd BCT completing demobilization

About 3,000 Soldiers from the 33rd Brigade Combat Team were at Fort McCoy for the last days of their one-year tour of duty. The 33rd, from the Illinois Army National Guard, demobilized at Fort McCoy with units spread out during a four-month period. (Story, photos.)

Garrison deputy commander receives Diversity award
