Sparta students learn

about natural resources during tour

Forestry Technician Charles Mentzel with the Forestry Office of the Directorate of Public Works Environmental Division Natural Resources Branch talks forestry May 25 with students from the Sparta Innovations Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Academy of Sparta, Wis., during the academy's tour of Fort McCoy with the Natural Resources Branch. In addition to forestry, the students learned more about watershed management, habitats, ecosystems, and completed several hands-on projects.
