Memorial Day participation

Soldiers with the 415th Military Police Company complete weapons qualification with the M4 rifle during training June 2 at Range 33 on Fort McCoy's North Post.

Memorial Day parade

Soldiers and community members from Fort McCoy participate in the Memorial Day parade May 29 in Sparta, Wis. Dozens of Fort McCoy members participated, including members of the Fort McCoy Army Ten-Miler Team and Soldiers from various units.

Memorial Day Prayer Luncheon

Fort McCoy community members sing a hymn during the Memorial Day prayer Luncheon on May 25 at McCoy's Community Center. The prayer luncheon is put on by the Religious Support Office and honors service members, especially those killed in the line of duty. The luncheon also is the post's official observance of Memorial Day.

Memorial Day Prayer Luncheon

Guest speaker Mark T. Barclay, Vietnam veteran and founder of Living Word International Church, speaks to Fort McCoy community members during the Memorial Day prayer Luncheon on May 25 at McCoy’s Community Center. Barclay spoke on several topics, including the importance of faith and his own spiritual journey, which started when he was a Marine serving in Vietnam.

Running to remember

Soldiers from Fort McCoy participate in the Memorial Day 5k Run/1-mile Walk at the Tomah (Wis.) Veterans Affairs Medical Center on May 25 in Tomah. The 1st Battalion, 310th Brigade Engineering Battalion, a unit with the 181st Multi-Functional Training Brigade, organized the event where dozens of people participated to observe Memorial Day.
