Fort McCoy and local community members paint during the "Sit, Sip, Paint" event Nov. 4 at McCoy's Community Center. With the help of artist Linda Oldenburg, participants created their own works of art to take home. The event was coordinated by the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation.

Customers look over items in building 1560 at Fort McCoy during a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) clearance sale held by the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (DFMWR) Nov. 16. During a NAF sale, customers can purchase, at reduced cost, used items that DFMWR has either replaced or no longer needs. This sale included a variety of items, such as dinette sets and patio-table sets.

Fowl 5k

Fort McCoy community members participate in the Fowl 5k Run/Walk Nov. 16 in front of the Rumpel Fitness Center. Dozens of people participated in the event coordinated by the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation. The fastest male and female runners earned prizes, and the first 25 registrants in the event also received a T-shirt.

Health Benefits Fair

Fort McCoy community members participate in a Health Benefits Fair coordinated by the Directorate of Human Resources Nov. 16 in building 2187. Representatives of health insurance companies were on hand to answer questions and hand out literature. The 2016 Federal Employees Health Benefits Program open season continues through Dec. 12.
