Operation Platinum Support

As part of Army Reserve annual training in the 88th Regional Support Command's Operation Platinum Support mission, Spc. Kelly Simmons and Pfc. Lorraine Irizarry, both with the 698th Quartermaster Company of Nicholas, N.Y., remove a radiator from a Humvee at the 88th RSC's Equipment Concentration Site 67 on Fort McCoy July 28. Operation Platinum Support allows Army Reserve Soldiers in supply and maintenance specialties to gain proficiency in their technical skills while supporting exercises.

Soldiers attending the Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic Advanced Leaders Course Class 16-003 work together on a project at the Regional Training Site (RTS)-Maintenance facility Aug. 3 at Fort McCoy. The course is conducted in two phases and covers vehicle recovery, maintenance management, supervision of unit maintenance on tracked and wheeled vehicles, supply management, inspection techniques, unit defense, and more. The airport was busy with both Army and Air Force aircraft and activity supporting several exercises throughout the month.
