ZZ Top, Gregg Allman share stage at Aug. 20 concert

ZZ Top and Gregg Allman will perform Saturday, Aug. 20, at 7:30 p.m. at Fort McCoy's Constitution Park.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston and continues to tour today. The bearded duo of singer/guitarist Billy Gibbons and bassist/singer Dusty Hill, along with drummer Frank Beard, aka "the man with no beard," consistently have rocked audiences with their brand of chrome-plated, electrified dirty blues.

Audiences can expect to hear ZZ Top belt out hits such as "Legs," "La Grange," "Sharp Dressed Man," "Tush," and many more from their 15 studio albums.

ZZ Top's Gibbons commented on the bond his band shares with Allman.

"The history with ZZ Top and Gregg Allman together goes way back to around the time the earth cooled," Gibbons said in an April press release. "The double lineup makes for a killer combination so buckle up and let's have a party! Rock on!"
