3 Doors Down, guest bands rock Constitution Park

Heat and humidity didn't deter the 4,700 people who attended the 2015 Army Concert Aug. 15 at Fort McCoy's Constitution Park.

Despite 90-degree temperatures, fans turned out in droves for the concert, with a few showing up as early as 3 p.m. to stake out spots near the concert entrance.

The concert grounds opened at 6 p.m., and We Are Harlot started the show at 7 p.m.

Theory of a Deadman followed as temperatures cooled, playing "Bad Girlfriend" and "Hate My Life," among others.
Headliner 3 Doors Down took the stage last to play to a crowd of cheering fans. Fan favorites included "Away from the Sun" and "Here Without You."

More than 300 volunteers worked to support the concert and clean up the next day. All proceeds from the concert are returned to Soldiers and their Families through new equipment, programs, and facilities.

"The Army Concert is our largest event of the year and draws people from all over the United States to Fort McCoy," said Patric McGuane, director of the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR). "It took months of planning and weeks of setup performed by our staff … and the incredible team of volunteers, but we pulled it off and had yet another great concert."

So far, all feedback DFMWR has received about the concert have been positive, said Daryl Budda, chief of Business Activities.
"Everyone's said it was great talent and great music."
