Armed Forces Day Open House set for May 16

Mark your calendars — time is fast approaching for this year's Armed Forces Day Open House, Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The Commemorative Area grounds, building 905, and the surrounding area are the location for the day's activities.

The Commemorative Area World War II-era buildings, Equipment Park, and Veterans Memorial Plaza are open throughout the event.

Crowd favorites include guided installation bus tours, personalized dog tags, camouflage face-painting, an interactive marksmanship gallery, military equipment and demonstrations, and more.

Open House visitors must use Gate 15 to access the installation. Adult visitors must be prepared to show photo identification upon entering.
