Soldier Show takes stage at Fort McCoy May 10

The 2015 U.S. Army Soldier Show will perform at Fort McCoy Sunday, May 10. The show will be at 4 p.m. at Rumpel Fitness Center. Admission is free; doors open at 3 p.m.; and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Soldier Show is a live Broadway-style variety performance featuring the Army's best talent. Each year, Army Entertainment brings together a talented troupe of performers who are selected through a rigorous audition process.

They spend months rehearsing and training before taking the show on the road annually from May to September.
Entertainment for the Soldier, by the Soldier, has been a part of the U.S. Army's heritage since 1774.

Building on the tradition of Civil War camp shows and military shows such as "This Is The Army" during World War II, Army Entertainment was formalized to inspire, support, and coordinate theatrical and musical programs at Army installations worldwide.
