Prescribed burn season

David Texley, a contractor with the Directorate of Public Works Natural Resources Branch (NRB), starts a prescribed burn near the railroad tracks on Fort McCoy's South Post. Prescribed burns are coordinated by a team from the NRB and firefighters from the Directorate of Emergency Services. Every spring, prescribed burns are completed on several areas of the installation to prevent wildfires later in the year.

Promoting dental health

Children at the Fort McCoy Child Development Center (CDC) listen as a dental hygienist talks to them about dental health during a recent visit.

The visit was to help observe National Children's Dental Health Month, which is part of an ongoing effort by CDC personnel to promote health and wellness.
