Fort McCoy community members participate in an Army Community Service Valentine Card Workshop Jan. 31 in building 2161. Dozens of participants and volunteers attended workshops Jan. 24 and 31 to create cards for Family and friends.

Fishing success!

A youth smiles and shows off the catch produced while ice fishing on Fort McCoy's Squaw Lake during a mid-January ice fishing contest. The contest, coordinated by the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, aligned with Wisconsin's free fishing weekend.

Frozen 5k

Runners braved 15-degree temperatures and below-zero wind chills to participate in the Frozen 5K race Feb. 5 near the Rumpel Fitness Center. The event was coordinated by the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation.

Vehicle readiness

Dan Kast, a mechanic at the Installation Materiel Maintenance Activity, works on a High Mobility, Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicle in building 200 as part of regular maintenance on the vehicle.

The Installation Materiel Maintenance Activity supports base operations customers, reserve-component training units and tenant activities with materiel maintenance support that includes regular maintenance of Army vehicles and equipment.

Super Bowl fun

More than 60 people participated in a Super Bowl XLIX party Feb. 1 at McCoy's Community Club. The free party was held by Fort McCoy's Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers Program and included food, games, trivia, prize giveaways and DJ music.
