Twilight training

Firefighters from the Fort McCoy Fire Department hold an aircraft rescue firefighting exercise June 30 at their training facility in the installation's South Post under the glow of a late-evening sunset.

Emergency response personnel from from Sparta, Oakdale, Town of Lincoln and Baraboo, Wis., also participated in the specialized training.

Stack 'em up!

A Soldier trains on a U.S. Army Rough-Terrain Container Handler (RTCH) under the supervision of another Soldier during operations June 24 at Forward Operating Base Liberty on Fort McCoy's North Post.

An RTCH can stack containers two high. It is designed to function over rough terrain and through salt water up to 60-inches deep.

Its primarily used in holding and marshalling areas by selected supply, ammunition and transportation units.
