Change of Command

Capt. Randall S. Sumbles accepts the flag of Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC), U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Fort McCoy, from Garrison Commander Col. Steven W. Nott during the HHC USAG change of command ceremony May 9. During the ceremony, Sumbles assumed command of HHC from Capt. Sherman D. Thrash.

Lunchtime serenade

Soldiers with the 313th Army Band play to a lunchtime audience at McCoys May 14. The 313th Army Band is an Army Reserve Band from Birmingham, Ala., that supported the 2014 Combat Support Training Exercise.

Family Water Olympics

Two teams (eight contestants) recently battled through a variety of relays as part of the Family Water Olympics held at the Rumpel Fitness Center indoor pool. In the event pictured, the goal was to keep the newspaper dry as the competitor navigated the pool. The next Family Water Olympics event is slated for Nov. 8.
