A Protestant chaplain for the past five years, Bacon is from Minneapolis and is a 16-year Army veteran. He will work with Chaplain Assistant Staff Sgt. Tonielle Langford and Support Assistant Eve Bean at the Chapel Center, building 2675.

Bacon will lead the Protestant worship service offered every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in building 2672. Catholic Mass also is offered every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in building 1759.

Every Wednesday, two meetings take place in building 2675. There are the Protestant Women of the Chapel meeting at 9 a.m., and the Christian-Military Fellowship Bible study and lunch at 11:30 a.m.

"The chapel staff is glad to support faith services for Fort McCoy," the chaplain said. "Stop by and see us at the center if you have any more questions."

The Chapel Center is open Mondays through Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Books and music CDs are available for use and may be signed out by members of the Fort McCoy community.

Bacon said people who wish to meet with him individually, or have more questions, may visit the Chapel Center or call 608-388-3528.
