Three-hundred swimmers ages six and older from eight swimming associations located across Western Wisconsin battled in 120 events organized into age categories to earn a coveted qualifying position for future competition at the 2014 CWSC Conference Championships.

The hard work and quality leadeship of the new team paid huge dividends, said team coach Bruce Cuda.

The Total Force Swim Team finished seventh overall, and placed second within the men's category.

The entire team, many of whom never had swum in competitions prior to this season, put forth a strong, unified effort, Cuda said.

Throughout the season, the team experienced steady growth among interested youth, ending the year with 30 active swimmers.

Although the team was the smallest in number among more-established associations, it is an impressive starting figure for any beginning program, Cuda said.

Current Total Force team members are from military and civilian Families residing at Fort McCoy, Tomah, Sparta, and Warrens.

The 2014-2015 season begins in October, and looks very bright, Cuda said.
