Military Family Appreciation Month

Youth in the Fort McCoy Child Development Center put on a Star Spangled Thank You presentation during Military Family Appreciation Month in November. The event included singing and a flag-waving event and was part of recognition events held by Child, Youth and School Services youth and staff members.

Community Center renovation

Employees from TCI Engineers, Architects and Contractor work on the South Post Military Family Housing Community Center to renovate the facility for meeting areas/Family Housing Office space at Fort McCoy. The project is expected to be completed and ready for occupancy in 2014.

Jane Barnas (left) of the Fort McCoy contracted post office assists Col. Rhonda Smillie of the 88th Regional Support Command with her mailing needs. The post office, building 1654, is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays (closed federal holidays) and offers basic U.S. Postal Service services to include mailing letters and packages and selling three kinds of Christmas stamps. Barnas also can help customers get their holiday cards and packages to their destinations in time for Christmas. For more information, call 608-388-3825.
