C-130 aircraft, including the one pictured above, were used to move simulated patients from Young Air Assault Strip at Fort McCoy to Volk Field during Global Medic, which was part of the Warrior Exercise. The semi-improved runway at Young offers real-world training opportunities for military units that will deploy and would not have access to a permanent airfield from which to base their operations.
