Children pick up litter in the South Post Family Housing Area. The youth helped to spruce up the South Post Family Housing Area playground, Community Center and other common areas as part of an Earth Day project for the Meadowview School in Sparta.

RIA Open House

The RIA Federal Credit Union at Fort McCoy hosted personnel from the installation community and members of the Tomah Chamber of Commerce during an Open House event. A ribbon cutting, door prizes, and food were featured. The credit union moved into its newly renovated facility, building 1501, in March.

Centershot program

Youth and parents in the Fort McCoy community participate in the Centershot Archery Ministry program, which uses archery, Bible study and potluck dinners to learn about archery and life skills while helping to develop self-esteem, character and closer-knit Families. The program began May 1 and continues to June 19. Another program will be offered this fall. For more information, call the Religious Support Office at 608-388-3528.

Members of the 420th Military Police Company of Salt Lake City enjoy a game of Sand Volleyball at the Community Activity Center courts after they wrapped up their participation in Warrior Exercise 2013. The Community Activity Center is open to authorized patrons and also offers other outdoor activities, such as grilling and a deck to support unit parties.

Community Activity Center patrons enjoy a game of billiards during their off-duty time. In addition to billiards, the Community Activity Center has shuffleboard, a table basketball game, pingpong, electronic games and a computer center. A number of items, including DVDs, laptop computer air cards, etc., also can be rented from the facility. For more information, call 608-388-3213.
