Dismounted patrol

Soldiers from the 1037th Engineer Company quickly go to their knees while on a dismounted patrol searching for perceived threats during Fort McCoy training. An installation training coordinator, standing, from the 181st Infantry Brigade, closely monitors the action. The “squad-react-to-contact” live-fire exercise is designed to teach quick short-range marksmanship for dismounted Soldiers. The 1037th is training to deploy in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
