Making repairs
A Soldier from the 1430th Engineer Company operates an armored backhoe loader (HDL) at Fort McCoy’s Contingency Operating Location Freedom where the Gladstone, Mich., Army National Guard unit repaired a security berm. The HDL is a relatively new piece of equipment in the engineer inventory, upgraded from previous models with armor and an engine that provides more speed so the vehicle can more easily keep up with equipment movement.
