Ground broken for $6.8 million barracks project

Fort McCoy installation leadership and civilian contractors donned hard hats and used golden shovels Sept. 28 to break ground for the construction of the Annual Training/Mobilization barracks.

McCoy training totals exceed 134,000 troops in fy 2011

Training totals at Fort McCoy surpassed 134,000 personnel in fiscal year 2011, which ended Sept. 30. The total is up more than 23,000 personnel from FY 2010 totals and continues the installation’s record of having trained more than 100,000 personnel annually since FY 1984.

McCoy food-service program to represent IMCOM-NE region

Fort McCoy will represent the Installation Management Command-Northeast region in the Department of the Army (DA) level Philip A. Connelly food-service competition for the third-consecutive year.

Unit recognized for supply support to McCoy mission

As elements of the 335th Training Support Battalion, 181st Infantry Brigade, are phasing back to higher headquarters at Fort Sheridan, Ill., they are leaving behind a legacy of excellent customer service at Fort McCoy.

Garrison beats 88th RSC in softball competition

The Headquarters and Headquarters Company, U.S. Army Garrison Fort McCoy, team put the HHC, 88th Regional Support Command, in its place with a 9-3 win during a semi-annual softball game at Constitution Park at Fort McCoy, Sept. 28.
