86th Training Division (Operations) completes move to building 50

The 86th Training Division (Operations) has consolidated its staff in building 50 at Fort McCoy.

Keith Krajewski, the G-3 Staff Operations and Training Officer for the 86th, which is a tenant activity at Fort McCoy, said the 86th is an Army Reserve unit that plans and coordinates the Warrior Exercise (WAREX) and the Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX). The organization supported the 78th conducting a WAREX and CSTX this past summer.

Prior to the move, all sections of the 86th were located in the 800 block.

The unit moved into building 50 gradually, beginning in January and recently completed the move.

The new location offers sufficient administrative space and ample parking, he said. An auditorium is available to support large-scale briefings. The distance-learning classrooms provide technology to support communications between the 86th and units that can come from throughout the country for the WAREX and CSTX events. A dining facility also is available in the facility to support the military personnel assigned to the unit.

Other amenities that will help support the 86th’s mission are ample warehouse space and a loading dock, Krajewski said.
The general number for personnel seeking information about the organization is 608-388-7256.
