Dianne Sommers, the ACS Army Family Team Building (AFTB) Program
Manager, said attendees taking the course can use the training as
professional development to improve their instructional skills.
Upon completion of the class, students also are qualified to become
instructors for the AFTB program.
Students are required to give a 10-minute presentation as part of the
course. Evaluations are provided by Master Trainers and by the other
students in the class. Instructor Trainer Course modules include
Platform Skills, The Adult Learner, Characteristics of Effective
Instructors, Managing the Learning Environment, and the Preparation
The two-and-one-half-day course is offered quarterly and is open to
everyone in the Fort McCoy community, Sommers said.
