Stone work
Employees from McGivern Masonry of Hatfield, Wis., install stone on a wall being constructed in front of Building 100, Garrison Headquarters. The stone work replicates the stone gates that marked entrances to the post in the 1940s. Nuvo Construction Company, Inc., of Milwaukee is the overall project manager. The next phase of the project will be landscaping, including tree planting.

Retiree Appreciation Day
Cmdr. Katherine O’Neill Tracy, U.S. Navy Reserve retired, gives a briefing on new and existing programs. O’Neill Tracy, representing the Military Officers Association of America (formerly the Retired Officers Association) of the Washington, D.C. area, spoke during the Fort McCoy Retiree Appreciation Day session Sept. 10. About 720 people attended the morning session, while more than 675 personnel attended the afternoon session, the Supermarket of Veterans Benefits.

Soldiers and other eligible personnel shop at the Fort McCoy Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation nonappropriated fund surplus equipment sale. Among the items for sale at the Sept. 14 event were refrigerators and microwaves, televisions, desk chairs and furniture.
