Fort McCoy to survey tenant activities
|A Sept. 26 through Oct. 7 survey of tenant
organizations at Fort McCoy will seek customer feedback about services
provided to them by the Fort McCoy garrison.
Garrison Deputy Commander Lt. Col. Rob Humphrey said this formal effort
to collect data from the tenant activities will be targeted at tenant
leadership and activity employees who use garrison services.
“The Web-based survey will focus on the garrison standard level of
services provided,” Humphrey said. “Tenant personnel will be asked to
grade us (on those services).”
Three key areas will be addressed in the survey: the garrison staff’s
ability to communicate; the garrison staff’s ability to provide quality
services; and, the garrison staff’s ability to provide services in a
Tenant personnel also will be asked to help the garrison understand what
services are considered most important from a customer standpoint.
“As we move forward in an era of budget constraints, this data would
help us if we have to make difficult decisions on services to be
curtailed or limited,” Humphrey said. “The results of the survey will be
used for process improvements through sharing it with the directorates
that will incorporate it.”
The survey was developed as a result of a meeting with Fort McCoy Senior
Commander Maj. Gen. Glenn J. Lesniak, who also is the commanding general
of the 88th Regional Support Command at Fort McCoy. Lesniak wanted to
capture customer input.
The survey will be conducted on an invitation-only basis for all tenant
activities, Humphrey said. In addition to leadership responses,
personnel from tenant organizations interested in taking the survey
should express their interest to their activity commander/director or
Information about the survey already has been distributed to the tenants
at Fort McCoy, he said. The results of the survey will be tabulated and
published in a report that will be available to the garrison and tenant
“This survey will create a baseline of information,” Humphrey said. “The
feeling is this will be a regular event in the future to get feedback
from the tenant activities.”
Tenants also provide feedback to the garrison at the semiannual
tenant/garrison staff meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for 8 a.m.
Oct. 13 at the auditorium, room 125, at building 50.
The tenant survey was developed by installation personnel based on the
Installation Status Report-Services. The Plans, Analysis and Integration
Office (PAIO) will work with the Directorate of Family and Morale,
Welfare and Recreation to incorporate the survey into the Survey Tracker
system. For more information about the survey, call PAIO at 608-388-2062
