Family & MWR program website
redesigned, more user friendly
|The Fort McCoy Family and Morale, Welfare and
Recreation (MWR) website has been redesigned to make it more user
friendly and give it a fresh, up-to-date appearance.
The website will retain the same address at
Fort McCoy Family and MWR personnel have been working on the updated
site since last fall, and it made its debut in late August, said Jobi
Spolum, Fort McCoy Family and MWR Marketing director.
The new site was created by Installation Management Command-Northeast
Region Information Technology and the Fort McCoy Marketing Office.
Carlisle Barracks in Pennsylvania was the first installation in the
region to debut a new MWR website.
“The goal is to have MWR websites consistent in their navigation, so the
Army Family will be able to easily go from one garrison’s site to
another and find what they are looking for,” Spolum said.
The new site provides easy access to information about upcoming MWR
events, Army Community Service class registration, campsites and
equipment rental at Pine View Campground, Rumpel Fitness Center class
information, Family and MWR Newsletter access, and much more.
A number of categories with dropdown menus help site users quickly find
the information, and a calendar of events is accessible on the site’s

also allows them to find information and answers to their questions even
when our office is closed,” Spolum said. “It is probably the
most-important and convenient marketing tool our customers can use to
find information about all the Family and MWR facilities and services.”
