Housing boom
Employees contracted by Carlson Construction of Joliet, Ill., build the framework of one of the 23 new houses under construction on Fort McCoy’s South Post. A contract for an additional nine new housing units on South Post will be awarded soon. The houses are being built with funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, also known as stimulus funds.

Interservice serenade
Twelve Navy Sailors sing the Army Song as they serenade Fort McCoy Garrison Command Sergeant Major Command Sgt. Maj. William T. Bissonette Jr. at post headquarters. They were attending a meeting with Bissonette for senior enlisted personnel. The dozen Sailors are from the Operational Health Support Unit, Great Lakes Field Hospital, Great Lakes, Ill., who had 113 Sailors training at Fort McCoy.

Hair cuts
Action at the Fort McCoy Post Exchange Barber Shop has Staff Sgt. Joshua Bopp in the left chair and Staff Sgt. Gary Craig in the right chair. Bopp is an instructor at the NCO Academy, Craig works in the personnel section of Regional Training Center-Central. Clyde Raines is cutting Bopp’s hair, while Sandy Miller cuts Craig’s hair.
