Law enforcement personnel from state and local agencies train on making emergency stops of vehicles during a Pursuit Intervention Techniques course at the Wisconsin State Patrol Academy. The technique is used to stop vehicles that refuse to yield and pose a danger/threat to other motorists and pedestrians, and law enforcement personnel believe there is no other way to stop the vehicles.

Soldiers use the computers in the Fort McCoy Post Library, located inside the Community Activity Center, building 2000, for Internet access, e-mail, military references and books for troops in the field. The 24 computers are available for authorized users of the facility. For more information, call 608-388-2410/3213.

Michael Waddell, Fort McCoy Commissary secretary, unloads the Feds Feed Families food drive drop-off site at the Fort McCoy Commissary, building 1537. Other drop-off points at Fort McCoy are both Exchange entrances, building 1538, the West Side Express Shoppette, building 2662, and Army Lodging, building 51. The drive, which will benefit the Couleecap Food Pantry in Sparta, continues through Aug. 31.
