300th Combat Sustainment Brigade (CSB) set up its headquarters
at Contingency Operating Location Freedom at Fort McCoy July 13
as part of the Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX).
300th CSB is the training audience for the CSTX. Over the course
of the training, they plan to conduct sustainment operations at
both COL Freedom and COL Liberty.
a CSB, our main mission is to provide sustainment support for
any and all Soldiers within an area of operations. Some of our
operations include refueling, providing food and establishing
basic infrastructure," explained Maj. Steven Lone, support
operations commander of the 300th CSB.
300th CSB is acting as the headquarters element for two other
combat sustainment units that are taking part in CSTX. These
units are the 377th and 394th Combat Sustainment Battalions.

CSB. The tents we are using for sustainment operations are known
as Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelters." added Lone.

deployed, " said Sgt. Maj. Chad Brown, the support
