Motorcycle safety

Personnel from the Fort McCoy community participate in a Ride Safe Inc., Basic Motorcycle Riders Course at Fort McCoy June 30. With the cost of fuel rising, the number of people riding motorcycles has increased. Army leaders are concerned because accidental motorcycle deaths have risen 122 percent compared to this time in the last fiscal year. Organizations, such as the Fort McCoy Patriot Warrior Riders Mentorship Program, also can help improve motorcycle safety by pairing newer riders with more experienced riders.
