86th Infantry Brigade has open positions

The 86th Training Brigade at Fort McCoy has immediate Troop Program Unit (TPU) vacancies for qualified TPU Soldiers in enlisted, officer, and warrant officer ranks.

The 86th prepares units to be mobilized by conducting Warrior and Combat Support Training Center exercises at the installation.

Unit members are allowed to conduct flexible annual training (AT) dates anytime during the months of August or September.

Soldiers who wish to perform additional AT are authorized up to 29 days of AT in support of the exercises. The unit does not offer long tours.

Soldiers who would like to submit a packet for consideration into the brigade must be qualified for their designated position within one year, be able to attend any grade-specific military schooling, if needed, and be willing to maintain the highest standards of physical fitness, military bearing, and discipline.

Some positions may require frequent temporary duty travel.

Positions available include the following ranks (grades) and military occupational specialties:

Master Sergeant/First Sergeant (E-8) – Assistant IG (school trained), 27D, 74D, 91Z, 92A

Sergeant First Class (E-7) – 00G, 12B, 12N, 12Y, 25Z, 31B, 35F, 35H, 35L, 35N, 35P, 68W, 74D, 89B, 91X, 92A, 92F, 92G, 00G (Assistant Plans NCO)

Staff Sergeant (E-6) – 25B, 25V, 88M, 88N, 89B, 91B, 00G (Assistant OPSNCO or OPFOR Training NCO)

Sergeant (E-5) – 25R, 25U, 25V, 42A, 42A/ASI E3, 46Q, 92F

Specialist (E-4) – 25B, 25R, 25V

Lieutenant Colonel (O-5) – 12A, 31A, 36A, 01A (Chief Plans Team Officer or Chief MI Team OC/T, or Chief Log Trainer OC/T)

Major (O-4) – 01A 5K, 31A, 53A, 57A, 57A00S7, 51C004M, 57A, 57A S7, 90A, 01A (Operations Officer or Assistant Operations Officer)

Application packets must include a military biography for sergeant first class and above and all officers, the last three Officer Evaluation Reports/Noncommissioned Officer Evaluation Reports, any temporary and/or permanent profiles, and the most current Army Physical Fitness Test/weigh-in and body-taping worksheet, if necessary.
