Armed Forced Day Open House set
for Saturday, May 15

Fort McCoy’s present-day mission and rich history will be showcased at the annual Armed Forces Day Open House Saturday, May 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

Fort McCoy’s Commemorative Area will serve as the hub for all activities.

The Equipment Park, Commemorative Area Buildings, History Center and Veterans Memorial Plaza will be open throughout the day.

Crowd-pleasers include guided bus tours of the installation, personalized dog tags, camouflage face-painting, an interactive marksmanship gallery, and an obstacle course for children.

Food and refreshments will be sold on the grounds.

Visitors must use Gate 15 (Tomah Gate) to access the Open House grounds from off post. Adult visitors must be prepared to show photo identification upon entering.
