Active-duty military to get free admission vouchers for Army Concert Tour at McCoy

Active-duty servicemembers are eligible to get vouchers for free attendance at the Saturday, Aug. 7 Army Concert Tour performance at Fort McCoy. This is a co-headliner show featuring Sammy Hagar and the Wabos and Creed.

The vouchers are being made available as a pledge and commitment to the Army Family Covenant.

No commitment is being made to continue this policy beyond this year.

Those eligible to receive the vouchers include servicemembers on active duty from any branch including Guard and Reserve.

They must show their military ID and pick up the general admission vouchers in person from June 1-17 at the Fort McCoy Community Activity Center, building 2000. The facility is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.

Military members who obtain the general admission voucher also can purchase tickets for Family members for $30 from June 1-17 at the Community Activity Center, building 2000. This offer is good only for those servicemembers who obtain the free admission voucher.

Otherwise, anyone can purchase tickets for $30 at the June 18 kickoff event, $40 for advance and $45 for day of the show.

Officials noted the general admission voucher will be treated like a ticket, and if they are lost or stolen, a replacement general admission voucher WILL NOT be provided.

On the night of the concert, voucher holders must use a special designated entrance. Servicemembers must provide the general admission voucher and a valid military ID (Common Access Card — CAC) to gain entry to the grounds. Military IDs (CAC) will be scanned that evening to ensure they are valid.

All other concert ticket holders must enter the gates marked “General Entrance” or “Express Lane.”

Any questions about the free general admission vouchers can be directed to Sheila Peterson, Community Activities, 608-388-4161 or via e-mail to sheila.peterson@us.army.mil.
