“We were thrilled with the sales for the day,” said Jobi Spolum, Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) Marketing director.

Spolum said the ticket kickoff was the second-most successful event of its kind ever at Fort McCoy, and the concert may be on its way to selling out.

“We encourage everyone who plans to attend the concert to purchase tickets as soon as they can so they don’t miss this concert.”

The concert will feature Country Music Star Toby Keith, with special guests Gretchen Wilson and JT Hodges.

Tickets are on sale at $40 each through Aug. 1, subject to availability, at Ace Hardware in Tomah and La Crosse, and at Market Bar in Sparta, as well as at Fort McCoy at McCoy’s, building 1571, the Community Activity Center, building 2000, and the Pine View Campground, building 8053.

Tickets also are available for $40 plus a $1 service charge through the website https://webtrac.mwr.army.mil/webtrac/mccoyrectrac.html or by calling the DFMWR Event Line at 877-864-4969. These tickets must be picked up at the concert at the Will Call Booth and will require presentation of photo identification.

All revenue generated from the Army Concert Tour is put in the Installation MWR Fund (IMWRF) for new MWR programs, equipment and facilities.

Because of the expected large crowd, concert attendees are encouraged to arrive early to allow ample time for parking and security checks. The Will Call and Food/Beverage Booths open at 3 p.m., the main concert gates open at 6 p.m., and the concert begins at 7 p.m.
