Year of the NCO event set 
for May 8 at Fort McCoy

Fort McCoy will host a special Year of The NCO Event from noon-1 p.m. Friday, May 8 in the auditorium of building 60, the 88th Regional Support Command facility.

This event will recognize the leadership, professionalism, commitment, courage and dedication of the Noncommissioned Officer Corps.

The guest speaker for the event is Sgt. 1st Class Timothy Nein of the Kentucky Army National Guard. Nein, a member of the 617th Military Police Company, received the Distinguished Service Cross for Valor for actions involving direct combat when his convoy came under heavy fire near Salam Pak south of Baghdad.

Everyone in the Fort McCoy community, including military and civilian personnel, is encouraged to attend and support this special event that recognizes the accomplishments and contributions of the NCO Corps.
