Swimmers compete in the Fort McCoy Short Course Swim Meet at the Rumpel Fitness Center, building 1122, indoor pool. Five males and five females competed in the April 14 event. Patrice McGinnis, a Rumpel Fitness Center recreational aide and swim coach, said the meet gave swimmers at Fort McCoy a chance to compete in an organized setting and prepare to compete in potential future meets.

The Soldiers are training at Fort McCoy, many conducting mobilization training to prepare for future deployments.
