Army Reserve Installation Senior,

Garrison Commanders meet

Fort McCoy hosted the U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) Installation Senior and Garrison Commanders Quarterly Conference March 22-23.

Conference attendees discussed base support operations and resource requirements for tenant activities and training customers. Maj. Gen. Keith Lee Thurgood, deputy commanding general (support) and chief of staff for the U.S. Army Reserve Command (USARC), and Tad Davis, the USARC chief executive officer, led the conference.

Conference attendees included commanders of the Regional Support Commands (the 63rd at Moffett Field, Calif.; the 81st at Fort Jackson, S.C.; the 88th at Fort McCoy, and the 99th at Army Support Activity (ASA) Dix, N.J.) who also serve as senior commanders, and the commander of the 9th Theater Support Group, which provides installation support to USAR organizations in the Pacific. Attendees also included the garrison commanders from the four Installation Management Command Army Reserve installations (Fort McCoy, ASA Dix, Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico and Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif.) and the sub-installations (Reserve Forces Training Area Devens, Mass., and Parks, Calif.). Conference attendees were supported by the Fort McCoy Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation and held meetings in building 905.
