Photo: Pam Jones of VT Griffin installs a yellow-green pedestrian crossing sign in the 1500 block at Fort McCoy. The new high-visibility signs first are being installed in areas with heavy Soldier traffic to make being a pedestrian in those areas safer. Pedestrian signs in other areas will be replaced as the current signs wear out and funding becomes available. The sign-replacement project is a coordinated  effort between the Installation Safety Office and the Directorate of Emergency Services/Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security.
