On this date ...

Feb. 3, 1945: McCoy’s WAC detachment was transferred to Chicago on temporary duty.

Feb. 10, 1945: The post engineer’s maintenance cost record was termed outstanding.

Feb. 17, 1945: News that the 76th Division led Gen. (George) Patton’s forces into Germany was received here.

Feb. 24, 1945: Schlepperman, famed comedian, played to McCoy’s GIs.

Feb. 1, 1953: Camp McCoy deactivated.
