Deplaning at Volk Field
Soldiers from the 105th Cavalry of
the 32nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Wisconsin Army National
Guard, deplane and shake hands with the official welcoming party
at Volk Field. It was the first of many flights into Volk as the
32nd redeploys from a one-year tour of duty supporting Operation
Iraqi Freedom. Four members of the 132nd Army Band, also of the
Wisconsin Guard, play “On Wisconsin” and “The Army Goes Rolling
Along” at planeside. The 105th is headquartered in Fort
Atkinson.

Welcome home
Spc. Brad Shinnick is welcomed home by his family. Shinnick is
with the 105th Cavalry of the 32nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team,
Wisconsin Army National Guard. The 105th, which is headquartered
in Fort Atkinson, redeployed at Volk Field after the unit spent
a one-year tour of duty supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. The
unit traveled on to Fort McCoy to undergo demobilization
processing before returning home.

Records check
Spc. Josh Dehnke gets his finance records up to
date with Military Pay Technician Shirley Anderson in the
finance section at Fort McCoy’s Soldier Readiness Center. Dehnke
is with Company C, 1st Battalion, 128th Infantry, 32nd Infantry
Brigade Combat Team, which demobilized at Fort McCoy after
spending a year of duty supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
