The Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation provided fitness opportunities in late December with tubing sessions at Whitetail Ridge Ski Area and gym activities at the Rumpel Fitness Center. Cori Yahnke of the CYSS staff said youth also could participate in more than 20 clubs.

"Some of the more popular ones are the Computer Lab, the Cooking Club and the Arts and Crafts Club," Yahnke said. "We provide activities to support the youths educational needs and personal interests and provide them opportunities to interact with others and sharpen their social skills."

The CYSS program offers an after-school and no-school- day program during the school year for eligible youth in grades kindergarten through 12th grade. For more information, call CYSS at (608) 388-4373 or (608) 388-4124.
