Training site construction
Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security employees spread fill dirt in the foundation area of a new minaret at Mobile Urban Training Site-South. The trio of Steve Peterson, Chuck Gilbertson and Dale Bergerson were putting the finishing touches on the structure that represents a Muslim prayer tower, a typical and major building in many Asian countries. Another minaret has been constructed on the east side of South Post. The 40-foot high, custom built, pre-cast concrete structures are to improve and simulate the current operating environment Soldiers will be going into, according to Terry Hoff, installation range officer.
